A note on enamelware: enamel's textured, slightly porous surface is part of its character, not a defect. Coffee, tea, and other dark beverages may leave light staining over time, a normal trait of the material. A little lemon juice or baking soda with a soft sponge lifts most of it.
Do not heat liquids or food directly in the mug. Direct heat can damage the coating.
